iphone 2.1 Pwned

September 14, 2008

For those that are game – 2.1 is out for hacked phones like mine

http://blog.iphone-dev.org/post/49988701/pwnagetool-and-quickpwn-for-2-1-firmware

I’m doing the upgrade as we speak. I upgraded the wife iPhone with the legit 2.1 yesterday and it is definately better. Hopefully my pwned version goes well.

Update – a couple of dramas but mainly caused by me taking short cuts and not restoring from DFU mode.. all looks good.

Jerry Seinfeld laughs all the way to the bank | Gear Diary

This is what Microsoft is spending US$600 Million on ??? This is their answer to “Im’ a Mac – I’m a PC” ???

It’s laughable.

If I will Microsoft – I would be embarrassed.

Long time – how about a Chrome Post

September 3, 2008

I know – I’ve fallen into the usual trap of ‘I couldn’t be bothered’ posting.

So to get me out of my slackness I decided to give the new Google Chrome browser a whirl on my work laptop.

What can I say but wow. Until I used it I thought what is the point of another browser in the market place. But when you use it you realise how much faster it is compared to IE/Firefox. I just wish there was a Mac version now…

But the best is saved for last – the proxy and certificate settings are integrated WITH the OS – not separate like Firefox. This means that you can control via Microsoft GPOs certificate and proxy settings which makes like a LOT easier in the enterprise. I hope this philosophy comes across with the Mac version.

Go Hoogle Chrome boys – Go !!!
